The Social Media Manager Role

Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing strategies for the social media accounts. Oversee interactions with public by implementing social media platforms' content strategies.


  • Create and implement the social media strategy for each customer

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals

  • Review and maintain postings organic and sponsored

  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI and analyze running campaigns

  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

  • Craft compelling content or coordinate with the creative team and develop briefs for new concepts

  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network

  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency

  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)

  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or relevant field

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Social media manager creating social media strategies

  • Experience in content management

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Knowledge of online marketing channels

  • Familiarity with web design

  • Analytical, organized and multitasking skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Ideal: experience in B2B and B2C
