UL Marketing Managers

At Unleaded, the Marketing Manager acts as a consultant to our clients and a liaison to the internal team (including the creative team). While they do perform some duties of a traditional agency account manager, the role requires far more intellectual wherewithal, critical thinking and leadership. Our Marketing Managers are ultimately responsible for ensuring that ALL projects, creative and marketing activities are executed in accordance with the strategy and plan.

On some days your duties could include helping the client with a new product strategy or M&A-related brand challenge, and on others you might be communicating new projects to the creative team, analyzing performance metrics or executing online campaigns. These roles are a big deal within the firm, and come with a lot of responsibility. But they can also be incredibly rewarding, with each day bringing not only tremendous variety but also the chance to learn something new. Responsibilities include:

Project and Budget Management

  1. Plan all production and marketing activities to take place in the upcoming month and provide a scope, schedule and cost; also ensure approval prior to the first of each month or at project inception
  2. Provide a monthly recap report to clients detailing work completed in the prior month
  3. Develop creative briefs with description of project and key messages and goals for each project
  4. Develop and maintain project schedules in project management system and ensure all projects stay on track

Brand Management

  1. Ensure all deliverables sent to the client are in alignment with brand standards in terms of both language and design
  2. Ensure all deliverables sent to the client meet their objective
  3. Ensure systems are in place to help manage brand changes and transitions

Marketing Management

  1. Ensure all media and marketing communications are deployed according to schedule
  2. Monitor web and media performance to ensure all tracking is recording as planned
  3. Analyze performance of marketing activities, develop insights and provide analytics reports to clients
  4. Review performance analytics with the media and creative team to develop new ideas and recommendations for updates to improve program performance

Client Management

  1. Effectively communicates with client
  2. Answers questions and has regular status meetings
  3. Makes recommendations and manages client requests
  4. Upsells client with new ideas and recommendations

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Think independently and suggest solutions to keep assignments on track
  2. Demonstrate ability to develop unique, creative ideas for marketing the client
  3. Apply creativity, thoughtfulness and attention to detail on each project large or small
  4. Demonstrate the ability to perform under stress
  5. Multi-task and handle more than one client and more than one project simultaneously while maintaining quality and uniqueness of work
