The Brand Manager Role

Working closely with both the client and our own in-house marketing and creative teams, the Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring that client marketing for products and services resonate with target audiences. In addition, you monitor marketing trends and the competitive landscape to ensure our clients stay ahead of the competition. You are responsible for developing brand strategies, promoting brand growth and expansion, implementing brand plans and ensuring marketing programs are meeting objectives. You are focused on achieving business objectives in the short and long term.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new projects and research needs that support the brand strategy

  • Ensure that all content and collateral are following the brand standards

  • Study and analyze market research in order to identify opportunities

  • Stay current on market or industry trends, public perception and competitive activity

  • Build relationships with influencers, journalists and media

  • Establish and maintain brand budgets

  • Define and oversee the brand communication strategy using a variety of media

  • Work alongside the messaging strategy to develop key messages, value proposition and the brand narrative

  • Analyze brand positioning and target audience insights

  • Shape and communicate the brand vision and mission

  • Work alongside a marketing strategist to develop go-to-market strategies that align with brand objectives

  • Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action”

  • Work with marketing operations team to analyze marketing program performance and optimizations that will support objectives

  • Develop & maintain brand standards and documentation. Ensure all content and messaging follows the brand standards

  • Develop project briefs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in brand management, brand marketing, or marketing management

  • Strong research skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Experience managing a brand across multiple markets

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Strong communication skills

  • Project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles and techniques

  • Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge about market research, analytics, and consumer behavior
