The Marketing Operations Manager Role

Responsible for the implementation, management, analysis and optimization of client marketing programs including paid media (traditional and digital), SEO and email marketing programs. The Marketing Operations Manager will work closely with the rest of the marketing team to develop detailed channel strategies and provide input into creative and channel performance to optimize programs.


  • Operational lead for marketing program implementation and management

  • Manage MarTech stack for all clients

  • Recruits, selects, onboards, and trains employees for the marketing operations team

  • Lead the team that manages deployment of all campaign initiatives through all channels both digital and traditional for global marketing programs

  • Support Brand Manager and Marketing Strategist to develop effective channel strategies that align with client objectives

  • Build relationships with and manage any third-party ad services required for client programs

  • Provide campaign performance management through regular monitoring, reporting, and analysis (including attribution modelling)

  • Measure campaign performance and collaborate with the team to make adjustments as needed

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise on program execution options (formats, targeting, etc.) to provide guidance on strategy and creative asset development

  • Knowledgeable in a variety of digital services, Google ads, Digital display ads, YouTube and LinkedIn

  • Support in the development of client websites to ensure site structure aligns with marketing program needs and work with creative and marketing teams on webpage updates / ongoing SEO

  • Review and stay up to date on all new tools and technologies in this space.  Recommend adjustments to new technologies and ensure the broader team is trained.


  • Provide effective management for the Digital Marketing Operations team to mentor, develop and coach members of the team

  • Develop a team culture, where expertise is shared, continuous learning and creative innovation is the norm

  • Be a champion for marketing and ensure the customers' voice is at the center of all decision making

  • Champion innovation to evaluate new digital approaches and technologies


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field. MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing operations

  • Experience using a variety of marketing software and technologies as part of an integrated sales and marketing tech stack

  • A good understanding of the principles of digital marketing (CRM, SEO, Paid Media & Analytics)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary digital marketing teams

  • Strong project management skills

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Track record of managing teams that provide customer excellence, strong reporting and actionable insights

  • A creative mindset, contributing new ideas that overcome challenges

  • Ideal: experience in B2B and B2C
