The Marketing Consultant Role

After market research and brand strategy development, the Marketing Consultant takes over as the main point of contact for our client. In this role, the Consultant is responsible for: 
 

  • Developing and managing marketing strategies for multiple clients
     

  • Gaining deep understanding of the client’s products, services, customers and market
     

  • Developing detailed marketing and media plans including content and editorial calendar development to meet the brand and marketing objectives
     

  • Creating and managing the client’s annual marketing budget as well as creating monthly project plans
     

  • Working with the creative team to come up with new ideas to market the client’s products and services
     

  • Working with the creative team to develop sales and marketing assets needed to execute marketing campaigns; ensuring the team understands the project requirements and keep projects on track
     

  • Managing the client relationship and offering ongoing advice and recommendations
     

  • Analyzing marketing program performance, developing analytics reports and creating recommendations for program optimization 
     

  • Working with the marketing manager(s) to execute media placements, emails, social media, display advertising, webinars, etc. 

  • Critical thinking and problem solving 
     

  • Ability to identify client challenges and deliver smart solutions
     

  • Ability to teach and explain marketing functions and processes to clients
     

  • Highly communicative and able to work with a wide range of people, skills and personalities
     

  • Experience with client relationship management, including C-suite executives
     

  • Experience developing content plans and marketing/media plans along the buyer’s journey
     

  • Experience managing a marketing budget
     

  • Ability to effectively work with a creative team to develop marketing and sales assets for marketing campaigns
     

  • Familiarity with both lead generation and ABM strategies 
     

  • Experience managing a website development experience, a plus
     

  • Ability to develop thoughtful marketing program analysis 
     

  • Marketing systems set up and integration experience, a plus
     

  • B2B or Industrial marketing experience, a plus
