The Associate Creative Director: Motion Design/Video Role

Unleaded is looking for an Associate Creative Director for Motion Design and Video projects who will bring both an experienced eye for high-end brand and campaign work, as well as lead-from-the-front design expertise to help the team produce compelling video content.


This individual will serve as a team leader. Must be able to help concept video projects of all kinds, scale, function and delivery format by offering expert guidance, providing creative and technical support or, sometimes, just rolling up their sleeves and helping out. 


The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the lifecycle of these projects from planning and concepting to storyboard, style frames, production, editing and beyond. Your team will be counting on you to help create engaging, informative, entertaining and high-performance video and motion graphics on behalf of clients whose core businesses touch on big-picture issues such as climate change and the global supply chain.

  • Lead Unleaded’s video and motion design team in the creation of engaging, award-winning and on-strategy video/motion design pieces and campaigns 

  • Manage video and motion design projects through each phase of the production process 

  • Ensure that the video and motion design group consistently delivers the highest-quality, most-innovative and best-performing videos, on time and within budget—codifying best practices, protocols and processes along the way 

  • Work closely with marketing, creative and project management leadership to help allocate resources, meet project milestones, accurately estimate required resources and appropriately prioritize projects at any given time 

  • Explore ways video and motion media could add value to the client’s overall brand experience, campaign effectiveness, or business development performance 

  • Help team members work through problems with concepting, visual storytelling or technical execution as the need arises


  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure technical accuracy in motion design relating to client technologies, abstract ideas and industrial facilities 

  • Mentor and train your team to level up their creative, technical and project management skills


  • Extensive video and motion design production experience with strong demo reel 

  • Current knowledge of the latest video editing tools and technologies 

  • Expert level understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) 

  • Comfortable and effective mentoring, managing and supervising people 

  • Strong project management skills with ability to maintain a level head with multiple important projects in play 

  • Problem-solving mindset 

  • Adept at both giving and receiving productive, constructive criticism of creative work and motivating team in a positive way 

  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while supporting the production of several projects simultaneously 

  • Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—project management, collaboration and time management applications
